THE LOWDOWN
“This will be a new project for next week! The format will include the Scientific or Latin name in script and the common name underneath at the top. Logo on the lower left corner.
They are looking for some line drawings but I thought I would share what I know.
The event is called “Brush with Nature” and it is an art event.
They want the image to have the shrooms in it as a line drawing with a paint brush or two added to the layout.”
THE DELIVERABLE: 1 color line drawing (prepared for screen-printing) + mockups

THE ROUGH DRAFT
Edited inspiration photos and collaged to create a draft design layout for approval before beginning to sketch
THE PROCESS
Sketched in pencil > Scanned > Converted to vector > Quick edit > Reprinted > Sketched onto aforementioned print > Rescanned > Converted > Added elements*
*And removed, re-added, re-tooled and revised
THE FINALE
To stay earthy, the customer chose a brown heathered t-shirt and the design was screen printed in white. The white ink emphasized small details and popped on the brown tee, favoring the style of the line drawing. Paintbrushes were removed in favor of centering the stars of the show, the fungi.
